Term 4, Week 2

Week two was a short week but Room 14 still managed to pack a lot of leaning in.

On Tuesday we celebrated Natasha's fifth birthday.
Room 14 were also extremely lucky this week to have two big helpers from Room Four to help support the students learning for the whole week. Thanks Matthew and Nathaniel - YOU ROCK!!
The students in Room 14 continued the trend from last week and loved sharing their learning during reflection times.  We love how everyone is so confident to speak in front of the class and share their creative ideas.
The children in Room 14 have been using their Investigation times in a variety of ways. We had a focus of working together and sharing.
Another key aspect to investigation time this week was performing puppet shows. The students took it in turns to be performers and audience members.
To follow on from the idea of working collaboratively and turn taking, we played a roll and colour dice game. Where the students had to work in pairs to complete the game.
For Friday arts this week, we made our very own bird feeders. The students firstly had to give their feeder a unique design. The next step was to add string and a wooden skewer. The students then carefully added wild bird feed to their feeder. Lastly the students went and hung their creations around the outside area.

In the middle session on Friday, Room 14 had their second PMP session this term. It was great to see students challenging themselves and taking turns.
