Wearable arts, boat water safety and Expo week.
This week was very busy with the students spending the early part of the week planning and gathering materials in preparation for creating their very own unique wearable art costume.
On Wednesday and Thursday the students created their own costumes by using mainly recycled materials. It was amazing to see the focus, determination and creativity come out in each of the students.

Also on Thursday was Room 14's penultimate swimming lesson for this term. The main focus was water safety. The students got to wear life jackets and learnt what to do if they fell off the side of a boat. It was great to see all the students give this a go.
Our amazing librarian Angela made cookies with the class inspired by the book Gordon's Biscuits.
On Friday morning we had another Ready Steady Go visit and we created some fish bowl inspired art work. The students showed off their amazing fine motor skills to create their unique artwork.
On Friday afternoon it was Tawa School Expo. Room 14 were very lucky to be joined by so many whanau and friends. This was a time for the students to show and celebrate all the hard work this term and spend some time with their special person creating a wearable crown or playing a maths dice game. It was also a chance for the students to premier their Fashion show video.
